Frances Britten, founded Shute Farm Studio as part of  a working dairy farm (Green Farm) situated  Nr Shepton Mallet, Somerset. In this beautiful and rural setting, redundant farm buildings have been converted to create studios for teaching many art forms.  The Purpose of Shute Farm Studio is to provide the less able, together with the able bodied, not only the opportunity, but the accessibility to be creative and to explore the arts in as many forms as possible.   Shute Farm Studio reinvests all its profit into the promotion of Art & Education.  I have been working with Fran since the beginning and seen the studio develop from small beginnings to a fully  functioning community dedicated to the aspiration of “Art for every one” This has been a perfect part of my work in community arts and working with disabled people
