The story of he feeding of the 5000 was carved as funds allowed over a period of four years. The stone was built into the wall of the new hall and foyer and carved in situ allowing the children to observe the progress and get to know the sculptor.
Children had complete freedom to talk to me. Among other things I hoped to demonstrate how good quality work and craftsmanship came about. Fifty percent of the funding was raised from a variety of private and business sponsors and the rest by the parents and children. Many other projects at the school were spun out of this one
