Bath Abbey youth Group Christmas and Easter 2006

Bath Abbey youth group wanted to do projects for Easter and Christmas that enabled them to speak through the art to the congregation and visitors. For Easter they painted them selves as “resurrected” Christians. Each one has a message to give. Each one is new and at this moment re-born. For Christmas  they made a contemporary nativity to challenge some of our ideas and attitudes about a story we tend to make cosy comfortable and schmaltzy. Both exhibitions had a strong response from the public and raised some interesting ideas and issues.
