Essarts Qubeck 2005

In 1989 I was invited to take part in the Fete Des Neiges in Montreal picture left  with Ian McAvoy and David Odgers. We were the British team for that year with modest results on our first attempt. Whilst there we were fortunate to meet Pierre and Suzanne Tessier who were representing Canada.  In 2005 they invited me to Essarts in Saint Pie de Guire Quebec to participate in a wood carving symposium together with Pierre and Roberto Alessandria from Salbertrand Italy. The Tessier’s have several acres of woodland in which a sculpture trail is added to biannually by visiting sculptors
