Roman Baths
I have worked extensively in the Roman Baths over a long period. King Bladud in the Kings Baths (left) was the first conservation project in 1982. Followed by the Roman generals in the Great Baths (top). In 2008 I was involved in the new “Meet the Romans” displays (right)
As Nimbus Conservation we repaired much of the plaster around the Great Bath.
I also carved Julius Ceasar (top right). Their have been many small projects not mentioned here but among these are the adult learners sessions . I provided demonstrations of letter cutting masonry and painting the finished piece. The work I made for this subsequently provided tests for Roman repairs and polychrome (right.)
